Accessibility Statement
Last updated: 16 August 2026
HTECH Solutions is committed to making htech-ums.com (the "Website") accessible to as many people as possible, regardless of ability or technology. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA.
Conformance status
Based on our assessment, the Website substantially conforms to WCAG 2.1 level AA. "Substantially conforms" means the Website meets the guidelines, recognising that automated testing cannot detect every possible issue and that some content may not yet fully conform.
Measures we take
Accessibility is built into the design system that the Website is made from. In particular, we:
- Use semantic HTML with a logical heading structure and set the page language.
- Provide a "skip to content" link so keyboard users can bypass repeated navigation.
- Support full keyboard operation, with clearly visible focus indicators.
- Design colour combinations to meet AA contrast requirements.
- Use relative units so text reflows and stays readable when the page is zoomed or viewed on small screens.
- Respect the "reduced motion" preference, disabling non-essential animation for visitors who ask for it.
- Label form fields and interactive controls with accessible names.
- Provide text alternatives for meaningful images and hide decorative ones from assistive technology.
How we assess the Website
We self-evaluate the Website using automated accessibility testing (axe-core) run against the WCAG 2.1 A and AA success criteria across our public pages, alongside the accessibility practices built into our design system and manual checks. Our most recent assessment, on 16 August 2026, found no issues across the public pages tested.
Compatibility
The Website is designed to work with current versions of the major web browsers and with common assistive technologies, such as screen readers and speech-recognition software. You will generally get the best experience using the latest version of your browser and assistive technology.
Limitations
Automated testing cannot catch every accessibility issue, and content that we link to on third-party websites is outside our control. If you come across something we have missed, we would like to hear about it so we can put it right.
